19 of Daniil Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been won on hard courts
A resurgent Medvedev won his maiden trophy for 882 days with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament final.
The athlete, a ex- world number one, has endured a torrid year, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and undergoing a setback at the American major.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serve in particular - caused him falling of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with long-time mentor Gilles Cervara.
Presently training with his coach and Goetzke, he has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first championship following the 2023 Rome Masters and first on a hardcourt from March of that year.
Victory also means the Russian has secured twenty-one titles at twenty-one various events.
"This marks the first occasion I'm at a tournament with my both daughters together, so to secure a title is especially meaningful," said world number 14 the champion.
"This victory is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, featuring in that event earlier this year.
The player's defensive strategy and frequent emotional displays on the tennis court had led some to question if his capacity to compete at the elite level was finished.
But the athlete has altered his approach in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and compete aggressively, reinforced by an better serve.
He came back from a break down in the opening set against the challenging opponent, taking four of the concluding five games to take the lead.
The competitors traded service breaks in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his maiden professional championship, took control to push for a final set.
Moutet rescued 4 early-game opportunities in a competitive deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to 15 to serve for the match.
Fittingly, Medvedev clinched the win with a rally at the net, with the Frenchman failing to control a return after over two and a half hours.
